A mythology born digital. Every film, artwork, and edition of The Far Country is made in digital mediums and recorded onchain, where it is public and permanent.

And like the old myths, it grows with every telling. Figures, places, and symbols return from one work to the next, and each return reveals more. A riddle can change how you see a film. An edition can answer a question a 1/1 raised. Every piece is a thread in something larger.

The short films carry the main story of The Far Country and move the world forward through time. They are the most demanding works in the project and arrive months apart.

Each film is a 1/1: the animation exists as a single token, owned by one collector. It is sold at auction, and the winner also receives a token redeemable for a future Mythos. The holder of Into The Maw used theirs to claim a piece of Things We See Alone.

Mythos are the 1/1 artworks of The Far Country. Each one holds a piece of the world: a place, a figure, a moment, a concept.

They usually arrive as collections, each opening up a corner of the mythology. The first, Things We See Alone, painted ten sightings from the world’s folklore: lone encounters with the beings, places, and phenomena behind its stories, each left open to interpretation. Owning a Mythos is owning a unique part of the world.

The editions are where you take part in The Far Country. Some are earned: by bidding in an auction, solving a hidden puzzle, or holding certain works. Others are simply collected as limited editions, burns, and rewards. They are the most accessible way into the world.

The entire project lives in three contracts on Ethereum: the short films, the Mythos, and the editions each have their own.
